Create your free account

Go to proxiant.co and click "Start Free." Enter your email and a password, then on the account type screen, select "Process Server."

Server accounts are completely free — no credit card, no trial period, no feature gates. You get access to the full mobile app, assignment workflow, and The Hive marketplace at no cost.

ℹ Note: If you're a server who also runs your own firm, you can link both account types from the same email address. Start with the server account type — you can upgrade or add a firm account from Settings later.

Complete your profile

From Settings → Profile, add:

Full legal name — used on affidavits you generate
Profile photo — shown to firms when you bid on Hive jobs
Short bio — optional but helps firms make assignment decisions
Service types — Personal, Corporate, Government, Skip Trace, etc. Select all that apply.

Your profile is visible to firms you work with and to firms browsing The Hive. A complete profile with a photo significantly improves your acceptance rate on Hive bids.

Set your coverage area

From Settings → Coverage, define the geographic area where you accept work. You can set coverage by county, zip code list, or both. Zip code lists are more precise — useful if you cover parts of a county but not all of it.

Your coverage area determines which jobs appear in your Hive view. Jobs posted by firms outside your coverage area won't be shown to you.

✓ Tip: Set your coverage area generously — you can always decline a specific job later. A smaller coverage area means fewer opportunities on The Hive.

Upload your credentials

Go to Settings → Credentials. Upload the following four documents to unlock full Hive access:

Liability Insurance

Required for Hive access. Upload your certificate of insurance and enter the expiry date. Minimum coverage requirements vary by state.

State License / Registration

Upload if your state requires process server registration or licensing. If your state does not require it, mark as "Not Required."

Vehicle Registration

A copy of current vehicle registration for your primary service vehicle.

W-9

Required for payment processing through Proxiant. Download the blank form from the credentials page if needed, complete it, and upload.

✓ All four uploaded = full Hive access. You can work assigned jobs from firms with partial credentials, but The Hive marketplace requires all four documents to be current.
⚠ Important: Enter expiry dates accurately for every document. You'll receive reminders at 60 days, 30 days, and 7 days before expiry — and Hive access is automatically suspended if any document expires.

Enable auto-accept (optional)

From Settings → Assignments, you can enable auto-accept. When enabled, jobs directly assigned to you by firms you work with are automatically accepted — you don't need to manually accept each one.

Auto-accept is recommended if you have a reliable relationship with your firms. Disable it if you want to review each assignment before committing.

Download the mobile app

The Proxiant mobile app is where you do your actual work — log attempts, take photos, capture GPS, and generate affidavits, all from the field. It's free for servers on iOS and Android.

Download from the App Store or Google Play and log in with your Proxiant credentials. The app is the same account — your jobs, attempts, and documents sync between web and mobile in real time.

ℹ Offline mode: The app works without cell signal. Attempts, photos, and GPS coordinates are stored locally and sync automatically when you reconnect.

Enable push notifications

When prompted by the mobile app, allow push notifications. This is critical for two reasons:

New assignments: You'll be notified the moment a firm assigns you a job.
Hive jobs: New jobs matching your coverage area appear in The Hive — first-come-first-served on accepting, so push notifications matter.

⚠ Don't miss work: Servers with push notifications enabled respond to Hive jobs significantly faster than those relying on manual app checks. Popular coverage areas can have Hive jobs claimed within minutes of posting.

You're ready

Your account is set up. You'll be notified the moment a firm assigns you a job or when a matching job appears on The Hive in your coverage area.
